First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has already sacrificially given to the Kinetic Festival.
Second, I'm going to be straight up with you. Kinetic Festival is in a tough spot financially. Originally we had a $10,000 goal. That was our dream amount. We didn't know if we could hit it by September 9th, but we were going to try. So far we've received $694 of our $10,000 goal. That's way below our need amount. And that hurt a little bit.
But, we're giving it one more try! Read the letter that Pastor Trey and I wrote in our effort to better express the vision for the Kinetic Festival.

Oceanside desires to have the Strength Team this October for our Kinetic Festival. Through this ministry we will be a able to reach our community with the Gospel as never before. We are praying that God would move in the hearts of people who need to know Him & His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Former Pro Athletes Turned Pastors
The Strength Team break bats behind their backs, tear phone books in half, break concrete, implode soda cans with their hands, & that only scratches the surface. As they perform, they are constantly sharing the truths & principles of Scripture like "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," & "What I cannot do for myself, Jesus did through His death on the cross." Over 32,000 came to Christ last year as a direct result of their ministry. They are making a difference in many lives.
Here's why their show matters: people will come to see them when they won't come to Sunday morning service or a Christian concert. They put on a show, but the goal isn’t amusement. That’s only a tool. They perform for a chance to share the Gospel with people who desperately need to know & follow Jesus.
A Community in Spiritual Need
Our most recent phone surveys told us, most people do not attend church & many that do are not saved. They need change through Jesus. We compete with Muslims, Buddhists, spiritualists, new agers, atheists, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, & many others. Christ’s Church has become one of many shouting for attention. The Strength team is how we’re going to stand out.
Here is Where You Come In
While some of you have supported our efforts with your finances, we have only received $694 toward our original $10,000 goal. Much of that has come from people we didn’t expect.
Now is the time for us to say we believe this is what God wants us to do. Currently, deposits should have been made, supplies should have been bought, promo material should have been printed, & airline tickets should have been purchased. But they haven’t because we have not had the finances to do so.
Every gift matters large & small. If we work together we can see many lives changed through the festival.
Give with us this Sunday. We, the pastors, have already given sacrificially, & that is why I feel I can ask you to give in the same way. We need an additional $2000 by Wednesday, September 12 at close of business. If you are giving, please text, call or email the church to let us know.
